Brain Records founder Bizzy B, featuring DJ Dlux, Equinox, and crew, demonstrate their innovative use of the Commodore Amiga and OctaMED software to pioneer breakbeat hardcore and jungle sounds in the 1980s.
This event takes place in association with the current Stephen Lawrence Gallery exhibition “Trackers and Breakbeats” (11th October – 2nd November). Curated by Rendezvous Projects, with Dr Jon Weinel, BizzyB and DJ Dlux, the exhibition documents Brain Records’ role in shaping the UK hardcore and jungle scenes through their innovative use of home computer technologies, and explores the use of these technologies in the wider demoscene.
