Ian Mitchell is a clarinetist devoted to new music of all sorts. He is currently director of the new music Gemini, whose recent DVD release of works by Maxwell-Davies was enthusiastically reviewed by CD Review (BBC Radio 3), and has also been active as a member of the Michael Nyman Band, AMM, and in many other contexts. With David Ryan he has performed improvisations as well as works by Cardew, Wolff, Stockhausen, and many others. This concert sees a realization of some classic graphic scores, as well as new scores by composition students at Trinity Laban.
